Welcome to Maid in Jersey Cleaning Services. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website (maid-in-jersey.com) and all related services provided by Maid in Jersey Cleaning Services ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing our website, submitting a quote request, booking a cleaning service, or otherwise engaging with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. Services Provided

Maid in Jersey Cleaning Services provides residential and commercial cleaning services in Bergen County and Essex County, New Jersey, including but not limited to:

Services are subject to availability and geographic service area. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service at our discretion.

2. Booking and Scheduling

2.1 Quote Requests

Submitting a quote request form on our website does not constitute a confirmed booking. A confirmed booking requires explicit verbal or written confirmation from a Maid in Jersey team member.

2.2 Scheduling

Appointment times are scheduled based on availability. We will make reasonable efforts to honor scheduled appointments but reserve the right to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you as early as possible if a schedule change is necessary.

2.3 Access to Property

You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to your property at the scheduled time. If our team cannot access the property at the scheduled appointment time, a lockout fee may apply. See Section 5 for cancellation and lockout policies.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1 Pricing

Pricing is based on the size of the property, type of service, and specific requirements discussed during the quote process. All prices are subject to change. Final pricing will be confirmed before service begins.

3.2 Payment

Payment is due at the time of service or as otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other approved payment methods. We use third-party payment processors; by providing payment information, you agree to those processors' terms.

3.3 Recurring Plans

Recurring cleaning plans are billed on a per-visit basis at the agreed recurring rate. Discounts applied to recurring plans are contingent upon maintaining the agreed schedule. A break in service may result in reversion to the standard rate.

3.4 Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply for services that exceed the original scope of work, require specialized products or equipment, or involve excessive clutter or hazardous conditions. We will notify you of any additional charges before proceeding whenever possible.

4. Satisfaction Guarantee

We stand behind our work. If you are not satisfied with the quality of your cleaning, please notify us within 24 hours of the completed service. We will return to re-clean the affected areas at no additional charge.

5. Cancellations and Lockouts

5.1 Cancellation Policy

We require at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a cleaning appointment without penalty. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service cost.

5.2 Same-Day Cancellations

Cancellations made on the day of service may be subject to a fee of up to 100% of the scheduled service cost, as our team will have already been dispatched or scheduled for your appointment.

5.3 Lockouts

If our cleaning team arrives at the scheduled time and is unable to access the property (lockout), a lockout fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service may be charged to cover travel and time costs.

6. Property Access and Safety

6.1 Safe Working Environment

You agree to provide a safe working environment for our cleaning professionals. This includes notifying us in advance of any known hazards, pets, security systems, or restricted areas.

6.2 Pets

Please ensure that pets are safely secured during the cleaning appointment. We love animals, but for the safety of both your pet and our team, unsecured pets may result in service delays or cancellation of the appointment.

6.3 Valuables

We recommend securing or removing valuables, cash, jewelry, and irreplaceable items before your cleaning appointment. While our team is fully vetted and insured, we cannot be responsible for items that are not properly secured.

6.4 Pre-Existing Damage

We are not responsible for damage to items that are pre-existing, fragile, improperly secured, or in a state of disrepair prior to our arrival. If our team notices pre-existing damage during a cleaning, we will make reasonable efforts to document and notify you.

7. Liability and Insurance

7.1 Insurance

Maid in Jersey Cleaning Services is fully insured. In the unlikely event that our team causes damage to your property during a cleaning, please notify us within 24 hours. We will review the claim and work with you to reach a fair resolution.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Maid in Jersey Cleaning Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to our services or these Terms, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

7.3 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Maid in Jersey Cleaning Services and its team members, agents, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of our services.

8. SMS and Communications Consent

SMS / Text Message Consent

By providing your mobile phone number and submitting our quote request form or booking a service, you expressly consent to receive SMS text messages from Maid in Jersey Cleaning Services. Messages may include appointment confirmations, reminders, service updates, and promotional offers.

8.1 Opt-Out

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at info@maidinjersey.com.

8.2 Message and Data Rates

8.3 No Sharing of SMS Data

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Bergen County, New Jersey, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

11.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel bookings at our sole discretion, including for violations of these Terms, abusive behavior toward our team, or creation of unsafe working conditions. Clients who have been terminated for cause may not be eligible for a refund.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Maid in Jersey Cleaning Services with respect to your use of our website and services, and supersede all prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
